In this era of post-truth, general distrust and disinformation infodemic, our lab explores the underlying cognitive processes that lead to the disregard of evidence and experts in the process of judgment and decision making. Beyond suggesting a new theory regarding human reasoning, we aspire to offer practical solutions for dealing with disinformation, fake news and conspiracy theories. In this way, we aim to rebuild trust in individuals and in our society, by bringing back evidence based truth reasoning.
